Midnight & Moonshine

The Old Church Concert Hall Recording Session

It is highly unlikely that when this gothic-style church was crafted in 1882 that the builders understood how many free-spirited souls it would lift. In this hallowed hall, beyond the original pulpit there is an invitation for the modern-day gospel found in music. Here we are nearly 137 years later and Midnight & Moonshine, glowing in the light from the beautiful stained-glass windows, recorded a few favorite songs. Our partner that day was Darren Oberg the chief sound and light engineer for the venue. Taking full advantage of the vaulted wooden ceilings, amphitheater shaped space and the state-of-the-art sound equipment he found our musical sweet spot with the expertise of someone who had also co-written the songs. We marveled in the warm resonance of the room and at the helm of the soulful Steinway grand piano Rich laid the foundation for our tender-hearted originals. I’m not saying this actually happened but one of us may have been moved to tears that day.

Here is a sampler vid of a couple songs with just the on camera audio from this amazing day.
