Meet Midnight & Moonshine. Rich Petko and Michele Linn formed their piano and vocals duo back in early 2018. Their musical presence in the Portland / Vancouver and surrounding areas has grown in perfect harmony with their eclectic song catalog. Borrowing from the libraries of artists like Ray Charles, Bonnie Raitt, Rob Thomas, John Hiatt, Trisha Yearwood and Fleetwood Mac they put a distinctive spin on their unique song choices. You will hear some standards, because everyone loves them, but with this act you will also hear surprising arrangements of other well-known tunes.
Sprinkled into the sets are a growing list of original works. Midnight & Moonshine’s songs have been described as an instrumental blend of country, blues, and a little rock with thoughtful lyrics set to an Americana style and layered in rich vocal harmonies. Their stories are told through exceptionally complementary vocal tones.
While Rich is a classically trained pianist he applies his 40+ years of experience playing in multitudes of Country, Rock and Blues bands to the Midnight & Moonshine format. Michele adds an additional layer of texture and vibe with her vocal range and unique song choice. When the two join forces magic happens. They have a genuine respect for the music and the venues in which they are fortunate enough to play; their personal connection to one another clearly shows and translates easily from the stage to the audience.
